Hey,

Trying to find good plugins for filtering that are AU compatible(can be vst, but i find the automation to be a bit off when using a wrapper).

Any ideas?

Been working with using reaktor, fx versions of certain synths and a few other things, but really looking for a powerhouse filter for the mac.

For straight up LPF BPF HPF I use Sonalksis TBK1.
For more complicated multieffects + filters, I use PSP nitro a lot. Also, CamelPhat is a good channel strip / filter. CamelSpace is also a great multifilter/effects unit.

Hope this helps.

I've been using the Tone filter for some things like bass drums, it seems nice..

camel phat is nasty but i get alot of high range noise off of it, maybe too nasty

yeah see... I don't get why its like you only either get a little bit of a tweak on a sound or a whole lot of skullbuggery and gnarliness

Its true, the Camel Audio stuff is not clean and it has a certain sound to it that is very distinguishable. But it works for some things, especially if you want a sort of distortion to it.

I am also on logic and really like their plugs. I also often use a moogerfooger hpf and sherman filterbank for my filter needs.

But check out the TBK1, its a good clean filter with nice resonance (though no resonance knob).

the schwa oligarch (i think that's what it's called-- the one w/ all the crazy russian writing) is a badass filter but not an LFO/envelope one.

i used to love the antares filter... sad to see it gone.

The Auto Filter in Logic is top notch. What don't you like about it? Plus the exs24 filter isn't too bad either. It has it's own kind of sound that is cool from time to time.
