Yeah, think the bass over dominates a bit (yep, done that on many occassion), but the beats are just the right side of slackness. Nice and spacy, but that bass gotta come down a bit as everything else sounds a bit too quiet in contrast.
Hmm....

yeah, the beats are nice and loose i like that some of the percussion has a live kit feel,
its quite a hectic mixdown though, seems to be loads of stereo effects or panning (but saying that i'm listening on headphones) i often find sticking a lot of stuff in mono tends to keep the mix driving and using stereo send effects so you keep a portion of the dry mono signal but gives a wider stereo mix.
really like this track but not sure about the balance of the elements, maybe strip things down a bit more in places as things seem a little muddy at times, this could be the mp3 though you tend to get shit dynamic range when theres alot going on.
320 please boss.

Listening....love the vocal and portisheadesque dissonent atmos... good beat and nice bass....maybe lose the diss atmos before the b-line drops properly...or maybe build the b-line up in the intro...Drop lacks punch slightly...maybe drop into the bassline which happens 16 into the main body??? the melody in i is clearer and stronger for a drop. The violin type synth works alright.
Nice variation on the bass half way thropugh the main body.
Nice 2nd drop affter a slightly abrupt mini-breakdown. Really good drum sound (is it LM7?).
This has some great elements but doesn't quite have the structure to make the most of them....things work but maybe the elements could be spread/rearranged slightly to retain the emphasis (on say the bass at the drop)...the atmos can at times detract from the rhythm as it is slow so use it more sparingly perhaps....
Usual high quality tho Metalbox just a bit of time needed to perfect it. BTW I heard soundsystem on Devilles show tonight...sounded sweet in the mix!

Just had another listen at better volume snare sounds right actually. Love the intro on this one especially.
