Best 2 Player Game for PS3

So I'm picking up a PS3 before the end of the month, anybody have any suggestions on some decent 2-player offline games I should look into getting? Sports, racing, shooters, platformer, it's all good if it's fun.

For non-gamers, I'd say Grand Turismo 5 prologue just because anyone can pick it up and play it since the controls are really intuitive. So, if I have a playstation going at a party with a mix of people usually something like that draws a big crowd.
If you getting it to seriously game with, then I'd say that GT5 is also great, but games like RE5 and Call of Duty are pretty fantastic.

Resistance 2 aint bad either, offline CO-OP works really well.
Remind me to add ur PSN when u get it m8

I would say offline RE5 2 player isn't worth it, split screen, much poorer graphics, it's strctly 1 player if you want to make the most of it. Still, pass on the controller when you die and you've got full screen multiplayer acshun!!
Little Big Planet is wicked 2 player, Tekken obviously, StreetFighter.
Also get Killzone 2 purely cos it's the hypest game experience ever...
