20/TWELVE NETAUDIO's UBER PRODUCTION .RNS ACTIVITY

In my attempt to bring fresh idea's to the table regarding the netlabel. I have devised a activity to all those who would like to participate.
This activity is limited to those who use Propellerhead's Reason , apologies go out to those who are using other DAW's to make their smashers. I just feel its a bit easier for the track to be self contained without the use of external wizardry.

Here's the deal, I have uploaded a .RNS file below, once you have downloaded the file. You may add your own flavor to the track and do what you will to it but try and make it as pleasant to the ear as possible as this is NOT any other genre but dubstep.

Here are the rules:

You may NOT use any samples held under copyright.

You may NOT use any refills besides the Factory soundbank and the Orkester soundbank.

This next part is really IMPORTANT:

SELF-CONTAIN THE SONG BEFORE YOU UPLOAD IT. If the next person in line does not have the same weird refill you used, it will halt progress and Im sure most will become impatient with the project.

Once you have the .rns. its on you to decide where the track goes from there..
BUT you may only hold the file for 30 minutes before you upload it back to the
forum.

You may NOT start working on the .rns until the person before you completes their part. When you have completed your part your post should look like this.

(EXAMPLE)
ARTIST NAME: SUPERMAN
INPUT COMPLETE

That is the cue for the next person to download the altered .RNS and begin working.

Now I realize that when you see that the .rns is available for alterations you may think "What's gonna stop multiple people from working on the same .rns at the same time?" This is simple...

Before you begin working on the song you must post "I got it" or "Tag ,Im it" or something of that nature to alert everyone involved that you are now working on it.
whoever posts first is the one behind the boards(Please do a quick refresh in your browser to make sure you are)

At that point everyone interested should just be patient and allow the person to complete their artistic vision.

You may NOT alter anyones part of the song unless it involves Mixing it a bit better or quantizing a mistake. Just because you don't like a part does not mean that person didn't.

Each time someone new grabs the file the ONLY responsiblity they have is to push the song closer to completion.

If at any time during your 30 minute session you dont want to play anymore( haha)
Just make a post saying "Nevermind" so we all know you are out of the game.

Im not sure how many people would be interested in this..But Im sure there are a few that would get a kick out of it.

Once the song is finished it will be mastered and featured on a upcoming release on the 20/TWELVE NETAUDIO website & will be available on the Digital-Tunes site as a freebie(as always)

Activity begins now and will run until April 20th. If the song is not complete the idea will be scrapped and maybe we will give it a go sometime in the future.

MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN!!!

ok.. just added some drums.. wasn't sure what style.. so i just started w/ some heavy drum biz..

2SENSE: WORK COMPLETE:
here is the new file.

http://wmdmp3.com/20twelve-2.rns

got the trill on it early..

I set it up like we setup our shit..dunno how everyone else does it..hope it makes sense.. drums go on the 'drum mixer'.. 'synths and shit' on the synths..and bass on the bass mixer?.. hopefully that makes sense..

and just so ya know..if you open it and are wondering..
in the NNXT.. kicks are on ch. 1-2... hi hats on 3-4.. and snares on 5-6.

:)

and obviously we can strip the beat down a lil for the intro.. figure we should get it goin..then we can take out whatever.. feel free to delete or keep whatever of the drums i put in there.

BTW.. I turned off that mastering thing up top for now.. figure we should try and get it to sound good WITHOUT that thing.. then we'll worry about mastering.. ;)

FILE > SELF CONTAIN SAMPLES (I believe)

Make sure every box is ticked, your file size should be larger then normal, due to the samples being attached.
