Quality stuff man; try them! especially the dub delay series, great for massive-never-ending delays.

Also there are some really nice vintage sounding synths.

Tal's Dub II is good but you have to use it sparingly...less is more.

I love the TAL series of synths & fx.


I think of em like rosemary in a spice rack. You don't use it for every dish, but every once and a while it can add mad flavor.

yeah the 101 an Juno simulators are great.

the dub delays are also good but since ive got the uad 201 and audiodamage dubstation i dont use it much tbh.

i know what you mean about the bassline nowaysj - its a bit weird getting it to fit. needs loads of eq and compression. but it does sound a lot like my old 101.

good for weird portamento glidey sounds, like that awesome JB3 Luke Slater remix thats just a noise. technotechnotechnotechno!

The nice thing about TAL is, of course, that they are free.. which is cool for the couple tracks I have used them on. However, I have gotten to the point where I have deleted most of my freeware plugs cos I noticed wasn't really using them. TALs are among the few freewares I kept.

However, if I compare that amount of usage to the Audio Damage plugs...(which although payware- they range from $30-$50 each. dead cheap).. AD blows em out of the water, cos I usually use at least one or two AD plugs in every track. Sometimes it is Dubstation, other times it is Fluid (my favorite chorus plug by far), or Kombinat or Ricochet or Rough Rider...etc etc

yeah, used TAL bassline a bit.

quite limited but got a pretty nice gritty sound.

gonna have to check out the delay plugs though!

rough rider is a freebie as well.

Only really good freebies are the bootsy eqs and distortion - very nice. also done a reverb recently. but im overloaded with UAD stuff so have little need for freebies.

Yep. I use the delay plug and the Juno 60 one, both really good. Use sparingly for best results.

There's also the 'King Dubby' free delay unit somewhere, this isn't by the same company but it's still really good.

i know- looks amazing! i already have big seq 1, so i get to upgrade for a mere $10! the only reason i haven't bought it yet is because i have some projects i need to finish... and if i get bs2, i'll just play with that all day.

it would have been well worth the normal AD price of $30-$50... but the fact they gave it away just keeps their title of most customer friendly company i regularly buy from. it isn't my go-to compressor for everything, but i do use it a fair bit.

i have heard loads of good stuff about the bootsy stuff- but it is pc only..

wow yeah,,, i had sum demos of audio damage plugins... replicant is seriously good. hav yet to check out any of there delay plugins but giv em a go sumday, cos yeah there so cheap, other companies should take notice, waves for one.

ive ended up using the three free TAL synth in nearly all my choons nowadays, use the Bassline, uno, and vintager extensively for f'ed up subs and crazy saw/rec sorta stuff... those along with MASSIVE are my nessessaties atm.

there bit crusher aswel, nowaysj, does obv as it says, makes glitchy 8 bit kicks out of pretty much any kick if you crank the lows, quite versatile aswel.

as far as the meldaproduction stuff goes, i end up usin the comp and eq as my main, pretty sweet and simple [wich is good ]

they also have a waveshaper out that jus makes everythin go crazy, hav yet to use that controlably.

also, the 'auto' effects come in handy, i.e. autopan... stuff like that.
