One for the heads who remember..! Due to problems with getting a late license at the football ground, we’re switching venue, going back to our roots & returning to the birthplace of Exeter’s first dedicated dubstep night! Back when The Deep End was called Breaksphere & people made comments like, ‘You play dubwhat?!’, the Hub welcomed us in, and when Skream played his Exeter debut in Jan 07, it was the start of something beautiful! One last Hubstep, before the place closes down!
ESKMO (Live) (San Francisco! Z Audio/Studio Rockers/Cyberfunk)
We're very fortunate to be grabbing Eskmo to play Exeter on his second European tour. This San Francisco based producer has covered numerous styles throughout the years and his music has grown into a fusion of dubstep, west coast glitch and minimal techno. Thick, floor-creaking bass, layered with rich, oozing melodies and syncopated rhythms! His recent remix of the collosal 'Murda Sound' by Bar 9 has raised his profile a lot lately, as has his collab with Quest, ''Speaker's Corner'' (Check out his & Antiserum's remix of this too!). ''Willow Grail / Process / Trudge'' (on the Studio Rockers imprint) and "Angus Dei / Harmony" (on Ancestor) are other fine works of his. He plays a high octance live set using various midi controllers and FX based around Ableton Live.
