Its awesome hearing about how pinch took to us LA dubheads, and how he feels we took to him. It's funny that he says in LA he was playing to a crowd of 'Electronica' fans. I myself havn't partaken in that side of things in LA, nor would I. Truly Loving dubstep. Repping Los Angeles. Loving Pinch. [/img]
it was an "electronica" crowd. an idm crowd even. nothing wrong with that in the least. it just goes to show dubstep's wide appeal and how it's been embraced by people in a lot of different genre's. big up pinch.TooMuchLush wrote:Its awesome hearing about how pinch took to us LA dubheads, and how he feels we took to him. anywhere i played qawwali, i was asked: "what the hack is dis, man?"
my flatmate, who usualy is on depeche mode bought it..an israelian friend who´s on classic plays it now all day long...the reactions on it are so amazing..
to me it´s not just an ordinary dubstep track..it´s genius
has it´s place in my all time top 10, beside artists like aphex twin, autechre, source direct, orbital...
really curious, how he´s goin´on
addicted to beatz.....

Dead right! This is one of those tracks that goes beyond the boundaries of its genre. It's golden.serialkill wrote:anywhere i played qawwali, i was asked: "what the hack is dis, man?" my flatmate, who usualy is on depeche mode bought it..an israelian friend who´s on classic plays it now all day long...the reactions on it are so amazing..

I'm a big fan of other Pinch tracks too - Punisher (VIP rather than the original) and his remix of Atki2's Guilty Pleasures. He somehow manages to make the music soulful. Superb stuff.
Everytime Pinch plays me his new tunes I'm always astounded... they cross so many boundaries.
Mans really doing his own thing and taking the music on a distinct path
