Drum & Bass/UK Garage/Urban/Hip Hop Chart 02/04/09
Another week rolls buy and so does another heavyweight crate of tunes for all the heads out there so pay attention!
Track of the week for me has to be Calibre's "two drop" on Deepkut, heavy hitting drums and a bassline that will straighten any wonky spines out there make this one another disgustingly tasty track in Calibre's already massive repetoire. For those who have been waiting (all of you i imagine) we finally see the arrival of Subwave - "Dreamcatcher/Special skills", two super heavyweight tracks with oodles of bass recognised by all from recent dancefloors across the UK and beyond. Logistics is also back with some vintage jump up in the form of "Jungle Music" and on the flip a more modern electro inspired, twisted toy piano track. Long standing and ever present label Good Looking have yet another treat for our ears in the form of "Turn it around", produced by Tayla, light drums accompanied by an eerie yet beautifull strings section provide some serious aural bliss.
Don't worry jump up fans out there as its your week too. A new promo entitled "Seen" by Original Sin and Taxman, is here and its definatly worthy, stabbing synths over uncompromised filth are where its at, with a truly unexpected section of dreamy pads halfway through, what a treat. There's more from original sin in the form of "Dr feels good" on the Playaz label that needs no introduction whatsoever. Watch out for the new Mampi Swift promo "guess who" the track drops into a heavy wobbler set to rip up dancefloors im sure.

Skream / Benga - Tectonic Plate 2.2
More big shit from the Croydon massive now. Skreams Trapped in a Dark Bubble is finally getting a release after breaking ribs for as long as Ive been sucking jolly ranchers and will feature alongside Bengas curiously named - and unheard by me - Technocal. I cant find any audio to support my opinions yet but Ill keep you posted, trust me, at least one half of this release is big like a dinosaur. Although, judging by Pinchs impeccable taste, Im sure Bengas contribution is just as valuable
