I find that mixing some hiphop with dubstep works really well. Help me make a list of hiphop that is around 140bpm.
Kid Cudi - Day n Nite
50 cent - Ayo Technology
Rick Ross - Money Make Me Come

170???
Most hip-hop goes from as low as 80 up to 110. Of course, the new techno/hip-hop mashup feel (like Glitch Mob and such) can/does go higher.
The only way I can imagine getting 170 in hip-hop is counting an 85 bpm beat half-time. Most hip-hop isn't half-time.

WORD!
took me a year or two to learn why dubstep was 140bpm not 70bpm
because of being used to mix hiphop for 10 years . . .
its hard to find good hiphop that can match the tempo of 70 or 140 bpm, but just keep lookin!
Lots of goodshit out there!
but don't make threads with all your findns, that way you might keep your selection a bit personal . . .
Check out my mixes and you might find some hiphop at that tempo . . .
DITC forever!

thx, nice addition. And yea i guess i ment 170 as being doubled, where 2 measures would equal 1 in 80 or 90.

Dont think many people write hiphop at 140bpm. I think you will find stuff at 75-80 that could be mixed with dubstep though. Nice one kid logic..My input is "spread" by andre 3000. Although I think you will find he is on some slow jungle tip or something with that one. But Yeah crunk music is a good place to look for it... i jammed a bunch of lil wayne songs in the mix before. Also kool keith does a bit of slow tempo action that can work if you push dubstep up a bit.

Kanye west - Slow jamz
It's around 140 n works well mixed with sum dub
Btw most hip hops is like 70-110 bpm, it's harder to mix when it goes up into the 80-100 cos when at 70 the double time is 140 n when at 80-100 double time is 160+
Also to mix slower/faster songs instead of beat matching you could get a little creative using effects such as delays to bring in the next song or sum filters
