Trancey Dubstep?

Post by djkynz » Fri Apr 10, 2009 3:35 pm

So I come from a Prog House/Trance background and have recently fell in love with the Step...that being said, I would love to find some tracks that use the trance like elements and the more ethereal sounds. Dont get me wrong I love a lil grime once in a while but would love to hear more stuff along the lines of Ed Solo's Age of Dub, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks peeps

Some of the tunes by Pacheko and Cardopusher are quite trancey, as in.. there is a lot of floaty melodies and cheesy sounds, worth checking out.

Then Happiness and danger by RDubz as well as other sounds by him, reminds me much of trance and oldskool

now I know he will kill me for putting him in trance-y thread but anyway
check out 'Venus', 'Niente' and more by King Slaff

It's not trance at all but has some serious melodic and complex harmonic development if you're looking for such things

will put up more!

How about Martyn? Not exactly trancey, but strong 4/4 technoey influence.

I've always thought a few reso and toasty productions had a hint of trance about them.
