SEASONFIVE
09.05
10pm - Late. Saturday 9th May 2009, The Tube, Bristol
Luke.Envoy
FWD>> // Tempa // Hotflush
Having been locked in the studio writing an endless amount of new tunes, the original dubstep warrior comes back to Bristol to grace Seasonfive for the first time. Dubstep has changed alot since Envoy's debut release on Hotflush in 2005, but 'Gamma' and 'Honourkill' have stood the test of time and still sound as moody and raw as ever. Along with other key releases, notably 'So' on Tempa All Stars 5, Luke has focused on his DJ skills and has smashed up FWD>>, Fabric, Shit The Bed, Byte and many more events for years. Look out for 'Chaos Engine' co-written by Headhunter, with its crazy acid 303 line, almost 4/4 rhythm and general madness as a recent example of how Luke's production has progressed since he first set the dubstep scene alight.
Ramadanman
Hessle Audio // Soul Jazz // Apple Pips
We've wanted to get Ramadanman down to Seasonfive since it began in 2007. A third of the holy trinity of the mighty Hessle Audio imprint, Ramadanman's talent really took Seasonfive's notice with his remix of TRG on Hessle Audio 004. Hessle Audio 005 saw his first full release on Hessle and it blew a whole new dimension into dubstep. Blimey! was picked up many great DJs, but most notably, the famous minimal legend Ricardo Villalobos. With its stop/start rhythms, you cant help but shake your head in break neck fashion. Addictive. Recently, Ramadanman has been testing his skills by writing at different tempos and we love the result. His remix of Spectrasoul's Organiser will be out on Critical soon.
Hyetal
Soul Motive // Seasonfive// Formant
With our favourite producer going from strength to strength, Hyetal has been a hot topic of conversation for all record label owners. With releases on Soul Motive, Reduction and Formant all but ready to drop, Hyetal's output doesnt seem to slow down. Recent favourite 'Ice Cream' with Shortstuff is a future classic. Ears to the ground..
Snugfelix and Furesshu
Seasonfive
Fresh from their appearance at Radio 1s Big Weekender, Snugfelix and Furesshu come back to where it all started. Look out for fresh material and an exclusive jungle set from Snugfelix.
9th May @ The Tube, Bristol. £5 all night long.
In light of the tragic loss of Neil Kymatik, we would like to dedicate this dance to him. Seasonfive would not be what is today were it not for his knowledge, passion and wisdom. The truest of gentlemen and the truest of dubstep warriors.
Dont forget Seasonfive are joining forces with Byte to bring you Zed Bias (2h), El-B(90m) and Horsepower(90m) on the 22nd May at Native for a bargainous £5!
