Does anyone have any experience with these plug ins? They look really interesting but I haven't located a demo or a [size=0]place were they are lying around[/size]...
I never buy anything until I have used them with the rest of my setup and they are kinda pricey so any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance for any advice.

ok im a little slow today...found the demo link. I will update this thread after I try em out and let you guys know the scoop. Im still interested in hearing from anyone who has been using them in their production process however.

Sorry guys....too much coffee at work and I clicked send like 3 times before it went and that was the result. Glad I could entertain:)

I tried them a good while ago before they were eventually ported to PC and VST and I was very impressed with them then.

However, since then I think things have moved on and now I wouldn't be quite so impressed. They are high quality imo and as such the 'pro' price tag adds to their mystic, but to be honest they aren't as special as they were when first released.

I try not to dismiss obviously high quality stuff and its definately worth trying them if you have the cash, but at £359, I can't help feeling that the price is too high and probably because of the highly inflated initial TDM prices.

Try them but I reckon I could spend that sort of cash more wisely. For example you could buy a DSI Mopho analog synth for about £260 and get a real analog filter to use and then get something like Sonalksis Timeless delay or the PSP ones (the multitap and the Lexicon emu's). Sure the real filter is more difficult to use than a plugin but easily worth the effort if ultimate sound quality is your aim, IMO. Of course you also get a quite nice synth to use too which will also retain its value more than 1's and 0's do. Plugin-wise the Fabfilter Volcano, QuadFrohmage and UAD-1 Moog filters are good alternatives but there are more. Reaktor has some awesome delay pitch manglers too amongst other things and is something to consider if you don't already use it. Again, just something I'd consider to be better value and capable of achieving what you can with the Soundtoys plugs and then some.

Err, sorry for kinda hijacking the thread. Like I said the Soundtoys stuff is good but I also think there are just as good options from other companies who price software much more competitively who deserve a chance at getting some of the 'pro' money.

I have the Soundtoys bundle and absolutely love them. They are the cream of the crop.

I don't see $500 as being expensive for the ultimate delay plugin, the ultimate filter plugin, a granular effect box, and the lushest filter/trems I've ever heard in a plugin. Especially when the alternatives cited are a Mopho (strange comparison there), Sonalksis, FabFilter, Reaktor, and UAD plugs. That's a lot of dosh right there! And none of those will outstrip the Soundtoys for sound. I know because I have a lot of them.

Remember the Soundtoys plugs are designed by the team who created the Eventide Harmonizers, which are truly-regarded as the best hardware fx boxes ever created (and they are, I've used them quite a bit too!).

The Soundtoys plugs can do everything from classic emulation to truly whacked-out space vibes. The Richard Devine presets will blow your speakers up (literally... be careful with them)!

I have a good friend who is sponsored by every plugin manufacturer out there (seriously!), except Soundtoys, who don't do sponsorship. But he bought the Soundtoys TDM plugs himself, and he'll tell you they are the best every time.

lol my teacher was beta tester. he advices the stuff badly to us students... tho i dont have money (even i could get them half the price ;x)

Yah, I scoped out the demo and now I really want em. The ability to change grooves on the delay is nasty. Gonna have to get us some sugar mamas

The Rhythmic Mode, where you can essentially program your own repeats and the Swing/Groove feature are both sooo bad!

You can do the same on the filter LFO. So sick!
