hello,

trying to record 2 live audio signals/tracks simultaneously into logic 8 but logic only allows me to arm one track at a time ...

how would i go about achieving this ?

thanks

never done it, i'm afraid. i presume your soundcard has 2 inputs? can you select different inputs just above the channel meter in the mixer?

Create 2 audio channels, set up the inputs for the channels so each has a different input from your soundcard (the i/o slot on the channel settings)
Make sure both tracks are record enabled by pressing the little red R button near where the solo/mute buttons are for both tracks.

make sure your inputs are right-- you can only record one track per input at a time. so track 1 gets input 1, 2 gets 2, on down the line.

you can certainly overdub w/ the same input on a different track (like, you can use the same chain that feeds into, say, input 3 to record a shaker AFTER you've recorded voice using input 3), but you can't record 2 tracks of an input at the same time.

Also make sure you actually have a soundcard a with multiple i/o interface (check out the apogee ensemble) if you can only see input 1+2 then you'll only be able to record 1 and 2 separately as mono tracks.
