New Hit By A Rock, Speed Camera Shy (Spoken Word/Dubstep)

Post by hit by a rock » Mon Apr 20, 2009 1:18 am

Been working hard preparing for Speed Camera Shy live, but I've managed to get this new tune mixed and up on the Speed Camera Shy Myspace.

Another Dubstep/Poetry mashup, it's called "Blindspot By The Lighthouse", and alongside my lyrical collaborator Educated Fool aka Ray Antrobus, it also features poet/rapper Harry G.

Soundwise, it's a bit of a departure for us, but we're pleased with it. I'm really curious what the fine people here think.

Looking forward to any feedback, criticisms, 320 requests, or whatever. Please remember to use emotion, correct grammer and a consistent meter.

Well your bass was overloading my speaker set up, I think I'll have to go with the bigger speakers!

Loving the original vocals....Two MC's with smooth movements....that second drop has some nasty, fidgety rhythms....wasn't expecting that at all.

We'll see where I can fit this bitch, great choon!

very well done!

whooo! You ever liked a tune from the very first sound of it ?? Me, it has just happened with this! The tune kicks in pretty fast and with a very danceable feeling. This is wizardry, spoken word meets dance, amazing! The tune has a very fast flow, it sounds shorter than its actual length, its super interesting and it gets the attention. Its not easy music, tho it nails your ears and while I listened to it just one time I already remember almost all of it. GREAT GREAT GREAT music

Woah!

What great positive feed... Thank you so much guys...

Like Jim said we're preparing for live shows so we really got our heads down on this movement... and knowing that people like what you do out of love is incredibly encouraging ...

We’re filming a video for one of our tracks too!
Stay Tuned!
