Deep house
come on there must be some people on here who are into this
i'm talking beautiful atmospherics and chords, low dubby basslines, the odd vocal or two...
i'm quite a fan of franck roger, maurizio, and practically anything that JP in vinyl junkies, berwick st. sells

I like some deep house. I really enjoy maurizio and alot of chicago and detroit stuff i.e... older glen underground, boo williams, chris gray, larry heard, theo parrish, gemini etc... Could go on for awhile on this one. I also like the deeper techno side of things as well like the maurizio and many others.
Didn't you put up a house mix recently?
I would really like to hear that mix. Do you still have it by chance?

Re: Deep house
would maurizio be classed as deep house?
im into quite a lot of house, but have come across very little that gets put under the 'deep' subgenre which i like, im sure there is some stuff out there i would. i'd like to hear your mix
i like a lot of house that is very deep, and shares the features discussed (dubby ethos, atmospherics etc) but is put under minimal or click or something
i also like a bit of that west coast scene... swag, inland knights, mario fabriani etc, which seems to be put under this title in many places (bizarrely imo)

I am in Chicago, so house is blood here. I prefer it extra acid. Check some of me house mixes as:

Have bought a few house tunes over the years, but really wouldn't be able to tell the difference between most of the genres (how exactly would deep house and tech house differ for instance?) but heard quite a few good things. In my mind, most of the things I liked about early dubstep were more to do with the minimal techno, housey end and it'd be sad if it lost that.
Does Losoul count? - Sunbeams and the Rain is one of my fave tunes ever

Think I know where you're coming from now. If you're not that familiar with house styles, the average record shop's a bit of a nightmare - here's breakbeat, here's dnb, and here's 10.000 different varieties of house. I suppose that a lot of the Playhouse stuff would be deep house, so I like it in that case. Beau Mot Plage by Isolee goes quite well with a lot of older dubstep (a bit too slow in all honesty, but it sounds good)
Anyone recommend any good mixes to download?
