This is the official event for The Garden Party music and arts festival at Kelburn Castle, quite simply the connisour's festival of choice in 2009.
Our aim is to create and curate a unique, intimate, independent and friendly weekend of music, art and wilderness shenanegans for up to 2000 free-spirited music-loving individuals. Musically there will be a strong focus on young, leftfield, eclectic Scottish talent, rubbing shoulders with some serious international underground stars.
So book the weekend off and come on down to Kelburn for two days of music spanning cutting edge electronica through to rockabilly, dubstep to psychadelic blues, crazy samba to gypsy beats, alt.country to hip-hop....you get the picture!

The music flows from 12pm on Saturday 20th June and runs until a very respectable 9.30pm on Sunday night. The site opens early Saturday morning.

>>THE SITE
The Garden Party is taking place in the stunningly lush formal gardens of Kelburn Castle near Largs (40mins from Glasgow, 90mins from Edinburgh), the site of the world famous Graffiti Project. Entertainment will be spread over three areas, the Garden Stage (main stage), The Viewpoint Area (sound from Mungo's!) and the second truly eclectic Village stage.
The Garden Party is not in your usual open field site. Stages are placed in some of the park’s most beautiful locations with the Kelburn’s tennis court being the dance floor to the Garden Stage. Ancient trees provide a canopy over much of the site, with floodlit views of the Graffiti Project and out to sea over Arran and the Firth
of Clyde.

To encourage car-sharing and public transport there will be a nominal fee for vehicles. The campsite will be open from Saturday morning, but has to be emptied by Sunday night.
