Hopefully they'll add loads of cool new devices in the rack + fix the sequencer bug.
Can't wait!

I love these intellectual discussions we have.
As for when it's due, I have no idea....
At the moment, it's all heresay and fantasy...

Typically, big new products get announced in January or July at NAMM, or sometimes in March at MusikMesse.
Since they haven't announced Reason 5 at all yet, my guess would be no earlier than next year.
I am just guessing and speculating though.

If you tap 'Return' once in R3, it takes the play marker back to the left marker. Tap it twice, and it returns ll the way to the beginning.
In R4, tapping enter swaps you between the arrange view and the midi edit view (I think...) It doesn't function as simply and beautifully as it used too.
---------------------------------------------
Here's to hoping they bring out a new filter unit that combines all the filters in Reason into a full rack width insert effect!

Naw, 4 still does that same thing. When I hit enter once it brings me to the last start point and double gets me to the beginning.
Tho I'm running PC so it may be dif for a Mac.

If you press 'F4' (I think), it tooglles between the two modes... The problem arises because when in 'double stop' mode, * button doesn't initiate recording (if I recall correctly)
I haven't used R4 in a while.

I can't really fault Reason 4 to be honest. Apart from the NN-XT should have automated knobs, as it currently doesn't. If you hooked up an MPD 32 to that you'd have the perfect software based MPC controlled by a midi controller.
Yeah I'm a Reason user, and my two major complaints are not being able to edit audio files in any way, and the fact that you can't automate the knobs on the NN-XT. I won't pretend to know anything about programming, but shouldn't it be really easy to just add automation options to those? Why would they not? It makes the NN-XT a LOT less useful than it could be.
