Ok so I'm pretty new to the art of producing Dubstep.
I use Reason 4.0 and I pretty much have real problems making raw, filthy sounds.
Used to make bassline but it all sounds pretty much the same nowadays,
So I got completely bored of it.
But I could make ANY sound I've heard in bassline tracks.
But Dubstep basses are a different matter.
Whats going on??

It's more to do with sound engineering than producing.
Besides I'm not the worst producer I'll upload something to prove it in just a second

Here's a heads up on it

Infact..
That helped me to a massive degree I've just created a pretty gritty bass.
I'll be happy to share it so look for it in the main thread of patches

Its all about the sweet spot on the NOTCH filter layered with some low pass filter.. Instant BIGG BASS...

Lol thanks

I think I'll have to get a Myspace music profile up soon
Any ideas on a name, production wise?
I kinda like Elmo but it's taken by some grime producer

To get a full and broad sound you need to make sure there are plenty of oscillators all different octaves and waveforms, but all doing the same thing.
Typically I use sawtooth, square and sine waves.. these get you the nice gritty bass (obviously after you add distortion, FX processing, etc)
