Are we going to see this happen in Dubstep the same as in Dn'B? Are DJ's going to be rediculed for playing bouncier/less agro focused tunes?

discuss...

As with all music, people are going to have their personal prefs. It's just a part of life to have arguments regarding things that you have a strong interest in. It's just inevitable if you ask me. If you approach it with the right attitude it only means that the art is growing enough to have it's own facets of creative growth. ALL artists of every genre will express their dislike for certain directions of art. The question is wether it be in good taste and in a way that expresses your own thinking of expression or if it's just straight up shit talking. It will come. Not like we're not used to it...

Why do we analyse so much?

because without carefully studying the past we will likely repeat it

I think most peeps really in it for the music don't diss or look down on other musical flavours ...

I myself like the more techie side of things but then again there is so much good things on the other side ... :D

it would be stupid to rule out any music as long as it has a decent vibe ...

With all due respect - and I mean this most sincerely amigos - I'm getting a bit pissed off with peeps banging on about if dubstep is gonna go like Dnb. Every couple of weeks somebody posts basically the same thread

"Drum n bass used to be good - now it ain't(it sounds boring; its locked down etc etc bloody etc) Oh shit - dubstep might go the same way"

Dubstep IS NOT drum n bass. I appreciate the links, I appreciate you may have come to dubstep through DnB (perfectly cool with that) but try,
and I know you can do this, try NOT to superimpose the problems of one scene style of music onto another.

I apologise for sounding rude but this line of threads is boring me to death.

Respect to your opinions none the less

agreed. it is a given that people will have different preferences, but it's silly to start separating the different styles.

personally, i like it all, and listen to it all
