History of Acid from 1986 to 1992

Hands down these are the hardest records I have to mix but they are also the most fun! Cannot take my hand off the pitch for any periods of time and it’s a constant battle to keep the early ones in time.

1. 1986 Adonis - No Way Back
2. 1987 Pierre's Pfantasy Club - Fantasy Girl
3. 1988 Bam-Bam - Give It To Me
4. 1988 Acid Trax - Phuture
5. 1988 Fast Eddie - I can Dance
6. 1988 Inner City - Good Life (Mike 'Hitman' Wilson Mix)
7. 1988 Fast Eddie - Acid Thunder
8. 1988 Mike "Hitman" Wilson - Work Your Body
9. 1988 Party Boy, The - The Twilight Zone
10. 1988 Mr. Fingers - Acid Attack
11. 1988 Candy Man, The - The Candy Man
12. 1988 L.E. Bass - Acid Bitch (Bitch Mix)
13. 1988 Phuture Pfantasy Club* - Spank Spank
14. 1988 Phortune - Jiggerwatts
15. 1988 Ecstasy Club - Jesus Loves The Acid
16. 1988 Armando - Confusion's Revenge
17. 1988 A Guy Called Gerald - Voodoo Ray
18. 1989 Lords Of Acid - I Sit On Acid
19. 1990 Brutal Bill & Anthony Acid - (It's Got Me) In A Spell
20. 1991 Pleasure Game - Le Dormeur
21. 1991 F.U.S.E. - Substance Abuse
22. 1992 Hardfloor - Acperience 1

Good to see there are some acid lovers on here:)

This is where it all began. Them guys in Chicago really knew how to work that 303 and 808! totally sick grooves going on with the drums and still 20 years on these records do serious damage on the dance floor.

Yeah, F.U.S.E 'Substance Abuse' Richie 'Plasticman' Hawtin on the 303 there.

He did a few releases under that moniker, there was a double album on Warp as part of the Artificial Intelligence series of lp's, my copy's in white vinyl.

There's some fuckin' blindin' tracks on that too.

I love the sound of the 303, but it got the arse knocked out of the sound and there were only a small number of very good releases using the machine.

If i could, i'd add 'liquid Air' by Air Liquid. Now that is an immense record!

re:Substance Abuse, a classic that has stood the test of time. Every time I play it out I will have chin strokers around the decks and people asking about the record.

What is this Air Liquid tune, never heard of it, got a Discogs link?

ah right I was looking for the wrong spelling. So 3 tunes per side? I hate records like that in the dark lol. Will try and hunt some audio to see if I know it.
