favorite reggae/dancehall riddims?

Post by AKfyah » Thu Apr 30, 2009 1:13 am

easy all,

it seems to me that what makes a good reggae or dancehall track is the right vocals on the right riddim.

a few of my favs of the top of my head:

real rock
truth and rights
confessions
doctor's darling
sleng teng
i swear
diwali
soprano
oneness
judgement
collie monster

i'm always on the prowl for fresh riddims or that riddim that I've heard but never knew its name, so lets see 'em!

joyride allways gets the party going.

i mostly prefer the really heavy sleng tengs, and those evil dancehall riddims that consist of just a bass note and a kick drum.

Boom.. Boom.. Boom.. Boom..

Kasablanca riddim's one of the first that springs to mind, really unique sound...I agree with the evil dark minimal shit, can be kind of trance inducing...swear kasablanca used to be on youtube kartel and sizzla have wicked versions on it.
