poor bassnectar is about four years behind the curve. hes bashing mediocre wobbles now that everyone (except plebeians out of the loop [americans]) is sick of them. find another niche 'assnectar.

Hardly out of the loop just because you live on a different landmass.

Bassnectar tears the roof off at their shows, and has quite a few fans, so they must be doing something right.

Bassnectar does what he does, and he is great for crossover jamband kids that are sick of seeing the same lame phish/cheese/bisco/tribe jam over and over. Its really easy for said kids to dig into a bassnectar show at a jamband festival.

He does what does well and he has a huge following.

Not my thing at all, but i can see the attraction for people that don't listen to a lot of electronica.

Zzzzzzz.
There sure is shit is a lot more quantity coming out of the UK but there are more than a few quality US cats (look at f'ing San Fran) at it right now. I'm not going to, but a statement like that leads me to believe I could probably name your 5 favorite producers with a pretty high degree of accuracy.

Oh and as far as Bassnectar.......Yaaawn.

Listen to dubstep.fm for a week. Ask us for the IDs in the chat while the shows are going on ;)

Wow...never tought I'd ever hear electronic music listeners not liking Bassnectar. I guess it's because those of you who don't like him never heard him live....

His music is an original mix of break, dnb, dubstep, glitch-hop, hip-hop, jungle, IDM, ambient, psychedelic stuff, and lotsa other thing...however...he's one of those artists you can't put in a category.

He's the most awaited artist at Shambhala every year (biggest electronic music festival in Canada, lot's of nice dubstep artists going this summer).

But I'll have to agree that Art of Revolution isn't his best track yet. Heads Up was better, for a dubstep track.

Rustabout remix is fucking sick (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jnI5oSkLXg).

And well...the guy did wobbles a long while ago...He knows it's ridiculous...it's the point....he's got a track called "Ridiculous Wobbles", you know...

Blow, from the album Mesmerize the Ultra (2005...):

One of the best albums ever.
