mcs in dubstep?

wanna hear your opinions
was watching getdarker yesterday n ppl in the chatroom kept on goin on about how the mcs were shit.
i didn't think these mcs were that bad n i think they were too loud compared to the music which didn't help.
wt u lot sayin on this?

Well I've experienced the best and worst that D&B has to offer, and I probably prefer none at all (or very sporadic at best) to let the tunes breathe.

Not heard much MCing over dubstep at all, although caught Mala & Loefah recently when they were up in Glasgow and Sgt Pokes was there on mic duties. He certainly did it justice!

All depends on the skill (and size of ego) of the MC

for me it's mostly a no go in dubstep, in my opinion dubstep is just too slow too rhyme on.
drum & bass on the contrary is more adapted to it.

Those mcs on get darker were gash!

Dnb mcs are usually even worse though. Chatting completely inchorent bollocks.

It does my head in sometimes, and when you get more than one MC, they start going B2B, then thats the end of the night as far as hearing the music goes...

the voice is a very powerful instrument. get the right MC (trim, goodz, ghetto, crazy d, poax, asbo...) and the set is elevated massively.

140bpm isn't that slow is it? Most Hip Hop is much slower!

Stop spitting 500 bars over a whole set, let the tune breath when it needs to, work with the breaks and edits of the tune, and spit fire when its needed. Aint rocket science...but same note, i have heard some shite from so called hardcore listeners about mc's - here's a thought, learn the lyrics and the flow, on the other hand - big up all those supporting mc's that have an understanding of what it takes to work a crowd and a set.

first dubstep night i went to there were some terrible mc's... just completly ruining the music. however, saw rusko live thing and the mc was fucking brilliant - came in when needed and really got the crowd going. When its done well i dont see why not to be honest.

I think its is suited to someone with a hosting style rather than straight spraying. I've always thought Jendor sounds good when he's been on with N-type

when there is a good MC at night it really adds to the atmosphere.

Werd, i'd love to see Ghetto spit over some dubstep. But I live in the states, so I prob never will.
