i think this is pretty cool to be honest. i mean, hip hop used to be just about the funk, rythms, and instrumentals... then came emcees flowing over it. i don't have a problem with the same happening with dubstep as long as there are still heads making the deep shit and funky stuff i love :)

Murs vs Chase & Status - Madhouse is kliing me right now. I'm biased cause I'm a huge fan of Murs and everything he touches turns to gold

Oh and on another talking point - Can you imagine an east coast equivalent!?

And if you could have a top 5 wish list of east coat MC's- who would they be and what tracks would they be spitting on? Hmmmmmmmmmm

UK DJ's are hopping over to the state side of the pond and that is good. Its not absolutely necessary but, hey its a good thing to go worldwide thats not up for debate

the only one thats anywhere near decent in my eyes is the jamie vex'd one and i dont think its really a dubstep tune, more of a jay d influenced "wonky" thing which i'm not surprised works cos its more based on a hip hop style beat

grime mcs sound a 100 times better over dubstep than these hip hop guys imo

the flow just isn't working on a rhythmic level and lyrically for me it just doesnt fit at all!

Did it? Surely the name "hip hop" itself comes from MC chat?

an american rap over a dubstep tune just will never work for me, cant take it seriously, the joker/rustie one has been ruined by the vocal imo

its the Vex'd rmx of Scuba - Twitch, must have mislabelled it I guess, or renamed the tune as a whole to Satellite. It's the best one though imo, works really well.

like both genres, however 140 bpm hip hop just comes off as too slow. no one can truly "flip" it.
