Track being Dropped at Leeds SU tonight... need some advice!

Post by bugsky » Wed May 20, 2009 1:20 pm

Hey DSF,

My mate has just told me that his mate wants to drop my new track tonight at Leeds SU... now the thing is the track isn't exactly finished and I'm not sure how it will hold up in a live mix

Here is its current state:

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_so ... ID=7616878

Need some advice; should I give it over as is and see how it goes, or try and make it more 'live friendly', or just tell them not to bother dropping it?

Cheers brahs

sounds alright m8, i would cut back on some of that reverb but thats personal taste, if you have a spectrum analyzer just check the bass levels are ok etc overall like the track man, should go down a treat..

Cheers Dabster... yeh Ive toned down the reverb a little bit, but I like the atmosphere it gives on those synths (seems like dubstep is all about reverbing those wobbles).
Workin on a new section to lengthen the track and add more ooompff.
Levels seems to be ok, but I havent got good monitors to really know how it'll sound on a big system.
