alright guys,
i dont usually mix dubstep but a promoter that i work for said he wants me to play some dubstep at the end of my set tomorrow night to see how it goes. a large part of the music thats usually played there is bassline, so thats the kind of crowd ill be playing to

wondering if you guys can suggest some tracks to play. i guess itll have to be the more commercia tunes.

some people would rather you play tunes because you like them not because youve been told to play them as it might make someone else some money.
there's a whole forum of tunes/mixes here at your disposal, you know the crowd you are playing too, use the search function, read some threads, look at the mixes section, find something you like that you think they'll like.

he's not gunna get a fair trail out of you playing a few recommended tracks, to a bassline crowd. no offense to your skills, but i think you need to get a feel for what dubstep is really about before you're going to be able to lay down some solid mixes with it. that being said, i would say anything from reso, benga, coki, or skream would be pretty safe bets as far as overall appeal goes. maybe try benga's remix of the prodigy - warrior's dance?

get somebody that's put some time and effort into the genre - not really fair that someone who hasn't got anything invested is going to be playing out over some bedroom DJs who have been playing for ages and would looooove to play out after spending mad cash and bare hours practicing but won't get a chance cos they aren't in the know.

if u want to impress , dont draw for benga/skream go for slightly more underground soundz ; anything by redshape, ryuichi sakamoto, robert hood, rhythm and sound, cornelius, melt-banana, . see if u can get an mp3 of mic check by cornelius, bassline is mucky, always goes offfffff!!!!

basically anything that is fun to listen to that isnt too experimental.tunes that have the same party garagey vibe will do pretty well i think.

Just to clarify, you DJ bassline and your promoter wants someone who doesn't know much about Dubstep to do a Dubstep DJ set as a "test run'?
Why don't you suggest that he just books a Dubstep DJ just once or twice and see how it goes, then decide based on that.
The odds are if the crowd does like Dubstep, they'll ask for a tune, you won't have it, and then they'll disappointed as you draw from a random tune that you downloaded, or someone on here suggested...... Thus the promoter will receive complaints.

Just my opinion.

But yeh, i guess Skream, Benga, Rusko, Caspa, blah blah blah.
