+10 for CMT Bitcrusher. Probably the best one out there.

Also worth checking out is E-Phonic Lofi

I have been using a hardware bitcrusher for all my drums lately:

E-Mu SP1200

It only has one setting, but it's perfect.

Not exactly free at $1,500ish though...

+decimate from a Soundhack pack.. It's UB and sounds great. However, if you're really into bitcrushing, I'd say Sonalksis TBK2 is essential and definently worth the purchase.

i do... its alright... but wouldnt mind it sounding a bit nicer... the logic one doesnt give enough grit...

What you feed it will determine what comes out. Perhaps add some slight overdrive distrotion before the bitcrusher?

i have decimort, and it rocks. its pre amp is more like an adjustable overdrive, so you can get it nice an beefy before you crush it, then the anti aliasing filter and andjustable multimode feature allow you to shape it nicely. also has a wet dry knob to blend it in with the original...does all my bitcrushing....it does a pretty good job of emulating the sp1200 actually.
