downtempo/chill/electronica reccommendations wanted

since i've been caning the 'step for the last year or so, i've been seriously neglecting my interest in wider music..
in the late 90s/early 00s i've been massively into artists like the orb, future sound of london, boards of canada, fila brazillia, cinematic orchestra and most of warp/ninja tune's stuff, old aphex, two lone swordsmen, amon tobin etc etc
so what have i been missing the last couple of years? particularly any new bands that might have escaped my attentions with the emphasis on ambience, melody and beats

I hear that! I've got into the habit of only buying tunes that fit with what I already have and play out, it's self defeating
I'd recommend the new Iggy album 'Preliminaires'. He's finally wriggled out of his jeans, put on a shirt and gone down the Nick Cave route. It all sounds like the best bits of 'Avenue D'.

joey youngman is a house producer who produced a phenomenal chill-out track called conflict resolution
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkGDwkD8tIU
Then, gramatik is a producer of only downtempo and chill-out music. check his oddly-titled album "street bangerz vol. 1" (b/c they're not bangers in the crazy, hyper sense). some of the songs get kind of repetitive but he has a good groove.

Definitely second Clark (best producer since 2000 or so), though he's a little out there, and the recent album is more techno-oriented.
Prefuse73
Tom Burbank
and there's a really wicked instrumental hip-hop album everyone should download (it's free)

In my humble opinion, the best downtempo /chill album of recent years is clearly Lars Bartkuhn's
The New Continent (Sonar Kollektiv). There's a sample and review of it at the Commercial Break site --
http://www.commercial-break.biz/the_new_continent.html. (You might have already heard the track
Goodbye Dancing Hello God.) Oh, and the Cinematic Orchestra is still going strong (

Some artist recommendations;
Secede - ambient, droney, melodic stuff
Kettel - IDM-ish/ambient, lots of nice melodies
Opiate - sample-guru, saw him play an amazing live-set in november
Emeralds - droney and beautiful ambient
Band Ane - the girl who makes this is as sweet as her music, great live show too
Lukid - hip-hop based, but more experimental, chill, some lovely samples
Req - hip-hoppy, chill
Gas - droney ambient/dub techno
Rumpistol - also sample based, got an extremely clear and nice sound
Burger/Ink - these are pretty old I think, but I haven't ever met anyone who's heard of them, chill stuff
Blamstrain - finnish ambient guy, interesting music you can fall asleep to
