hop on the glitch mob train.

Post by dub4h0lic » Fri Jun 05, 2009 5:23 pm

i feel like nowadays everyone's shifting a lot more focus off of dubstep and more towards crunk and other breakbeat genres. Personally i fucking hate glitch mob's music because it sounds like a cacophony of shit put together.

to each his own.
i think its a nice break from the usual, i am def not talkin about jsut the glitch mob, but all of LA Produced hiphop using the glitch sound or the off beat snare shit, shit is hard as fuck.

if your ever in LA come to low end theory you might change your mind about it or maybe jsut dig for more.

its jsut like dubstep or any genre, you gotta listen to loads of bullshit before you get anything good.

The Glitch Mob are wicked sick in my opinion. They opened for The Prodigy twice last week and both their live shows were sick. Gotta give them props for doing something unique with their live shows. If you haven't already, I recommend checking out some of their live mixes instead of just listening to individual tracks, or better yet, going to one of their shows :D. Their live stuff flows together flawlessly.

Their tunes are bangin' as well... I got a CD of theirs after the show and I've been bumpin' it ever since. Obviously their music is more hip-hop than dubstep, so it's a different vibe.

theyve been doing the same sounds for a few years now and sounds rather stale to me. still fun to get down to at a show.

lazer bass / flylo style has been a long time coming.. I'm actually surprised it took this long to get your attention.

this reminds me of the dnb heads that called dubstep "too slow" ...now they luv it.

LOL I thinking the same thing
"Nobody is playing an instrument. You have technicians here, making noise. Are you getting this? NO ONE IS A MUSICIAN! They are not artists because nobody can play the guitar."

I wholeheartedly disagree, Glitch Mob is the fucking shit. I was listening to west coast glitch long before the genre became so popular and know the same happens to be true for many of the genre's fans, so don't pull any of that 'hop on the bandwagon, why don't ya' bullshit trying to alienate fans of the sound.

Im sorry but for starters its pretty weak sauce to start a thread stating your not into a certain persons music, you already know the answer, dont fucking listen to it. And secondly whats up with some of you guys feeling the need to state how you have been listening to this stuff for ages etc. Chill out.
