[Release] Mechanical Evolution

Post by breathe beats » Mon Jun 08, 2009 12:50 pm

Cool people, just here to let you know about my colleges record label and its first release 'Mechanical Evolution' which features several Dubstep bangers.

First off the college record label is run entirely (almost) by the students who are enrolled on the Music Technology and Industry course. Each student is placed into a team and then given a specific role to fulfill with certain aspects to cover; these range from label manager, to promotion, to merchandise etc.

All music featured on the CD album is performed, written and recorded completely by the students who are also running the label. You can read more about it here and more recently the release article here

Music featured on the album will range from Dubstep and Grime to Hardcore and Metal. To hear some of these tracks check out www.myspace.com/sncrecordings

As is every year the music course has a final end of year show with all of the music students having to perform, it always goes off well but this year its a little bit extra special because we are using it as the launch party for this release. Obviously with it being a multi genred compilation CD, there are going to be very different contrasting styles of music being performed over 2 nights. I am aware this is DUBSTEPforum so I'm just going to say that on this Friday the 12th of June, the dubstep will commence spinning at 10.30pm @ The Maze on Mansfield Road, Nottingham. Entry is free.
