bruv youve got to understand him getting pissy if he finds out music that hes spent time and effort into producing is getting handed out to people hes never met or heard of before
Put yourself in Komonazmuks position . . .

I do understand it all. He explained how he felt, but he was really tearing me down in the process. I said I was sorry several times also. I haven't even thought of sharing any dub in my possession, but he acts like I'm a huge bootlegger or something in the conversation.

well, i think your trade for an ounce of weed for a dubplate that's not exclusive to you was in poor taste.
both you and the person in question are equally at fault as far as i'm concerned.
what i dont understand is why you told him about it. lol, whats wrong with you?

accepting dubs from people other than the artist --- err, pretty dodgy
on the upside komonazmuk, an ounce of weed.. that's a good amount of trees.
at least it's an ounce. if it were something shite like a fucking dime I'd be ready to slit my wrists.

And, did you happen to know for sure if by giving somebody one of your tunes if the receiver was gonna be using it to play it out or personal use? I totally understand on how producers like to hook up their friends and stuff, but its still pretty iffy to just give it to someone without knowing for sure if they're a dj or not. Then again, I dunno the details and pretty much none of my business. So what the hell would I know?

the track in question is set to be released on HENCH Recordings..
everyone should have a basic respect for peoples work.
should i put all my tracks up on lime wire, bit torrent etc? i dont have a problem with up and coming dj's (we were all there once) and if asked i would have sorted him out.

Maybe, he thought if he was honest; he might be able to get more dubplates. J/P

Sounds right dodgy giving out tracks without permission.
Total lack of respect for the one who wrote them.

Yeah but it is only 1 dub. Bit of perspective - he hasn't stuck it on Limewire and he's not bootlegging it (we trus).
Someone else had that free dub before him. Thats 1 less copy you were always never going to sell. I understand your pissed, but bad vibes are always to be avoided.
And personally, if someone liked my dub enough to swap it for that much funk... well... I'd be chuffed to pieces.

Komonazmuk should get props for his stance in my opinion - but laugh at the bloke that told him about it anyway

In my opinion, this seems as an honest mistake made on Duborz as well as the friend who gave it to him. I doubt the friend who had given him the tune had planned on sharing it @ all when he first got the tune. But, then again, I dunno how that person is. I could be mistaken. I am sure both weren't thinking when they committed the big oops on their own parts or who knows even if if they were sober enough to be able to comprehend the consequences on every action they decide to do. I am sure Duborz is feeling as bad as it is for this whole shennagian. Thats enough of the lesson to be learned. Not that I am saying I am totally okay with dubplates being leaked around amongst the people who don't dj or produce who don't have a reason to have it within their possession.

by thinking
unreleased tunes are not there to be traded like pokemon cards, however much of an honest mistake it was. People need to stop thinking of them as some kind of commodity ffs.
