I preordered mine over a month ago and it still hasn't shipped yet
Anyone have one on here? Thoughts?
Are you using it for production or djing?
Did it meet your expectations? Surpass?

well see what happens when people start to get the hang of it. has potential. just watching Tom Cosm's video review got me hyped on it, looks like loads of fun.

my man Dub Gabriel just got one; gonna be out his way in a bit so am definitely going to pick his brain on it. The guys @ ableton are really excited.
basically, the thing looks well-laid-out and well-thought-out, so that you can always have x/y/z controllers for eq's, etc, etc-- would beat the serious limitations of 8 knobs and sliders.
though i do like the punk rock, let's-fuckin-rock-out aspect of the mpd24!
we shall see. it's definitely a new world as far as controllers go.

I think having the option to launch pretty much all the clips you got going at the touch of a button will be amazing, especially if you are in a live situation.

i got one 5 days after my previous post. I like the mpd24 but it's habit of stopping sending midi during a live set is kinda not-so-useful.
so no bullshit: this apc40 joint is LIFE CHANGING.
been practicing about 7 hours/day figuring out how to re-lay-out my sessions, where to put dummy clips, how to better organize follow actions, etc.
it's nothing that you couldn't do without the apc40, but the point is that the organization is just dead-on perfect; i can't believe how focused i am in ableton now.
one of the best and most inspiring purchases i've ever made in music. literally like buying my first pair of drumsticks when i was seven--
life. changing.

8.03 i think? whatever the current release is.
i also might be the only person who really, really prefers the new warping technique-- much more musical.

yeah i'm pretty jealous. last week, i went to hear this cat play out some hip hop and he was using one. since i was pretty familiar with his tunes beforehand, I just wanted to hear what you could do using one in a live setting....
I was impressed with everything he was doing. It was nutter butters and now that's on the list of future must have purchases. So sick!
