all i know is, that it makes tunecore look ridiculous. how could they just watch a brand new artist do £200,000 in revenues out of nowhere, without checking it out first? it tarnishes the whole idea of using any of the mp3 aggregators.DROKKR wrote:bloody hell![]()
quite clever all the same, will they be named and shamed?
they didn't give a shit obviously. £200,000 went to an "artist" so they made their money and weren't worried how. the conspiracy theorist in me says inside job of some sort...seckle wrote:all i know is, that it makes tunecore look ridiculous. how could they just watch a brand new artist do £200,000 in revenues without checking it out. it tarnishes the whole idea of using any of the mp3 aggregators.DROKKR wrote:bloody hell![]()

agreed. they need some early warning system, so that stuff like this gets checked early on. if i was on tunecore, i'd want my money back today. why even use their system if its this easy to pilfer?DROKKR wrote:they didn't give a shit obviously. £200,000 went to an "artist" so they made their money and weren't worried how. the conspiracy theorist in me says inside job of some sort...seckle wrote:all i know is, that it makes tunecore look ridiculous. how could they just watch a brand new artist do £200,000 in revenues without checking it out. it tarnishes the whole idea of using any of the mp3 aggregators.DROKKR wrote:bloody hell![]()

yeah, i don't read daily mail. i caught this linked via another blog.raffia wrote: then again this report is in a crap newspaper lol
yeah man, i agree about the moral character, but if you saw brand new artist X do that much in sales, wouldn't you by default want to look into it a bit? i mean, whomever is paid to watch the spreadsheets at tunecore, needs looking into, because at £6 per uploaded song, they're making millions, and in turn providing no security in the process. i'll bet this turns out to be an inside job.DJ Whistla wrote:seems like the fault of the credit card system.
if the cards are stolen they shouldnt work anymore (as long as the owner has cancelled them)
i dont think tunecore can be expected to take the rap if the artists music is there own. they cant be expected to judge the moral character of every tom dick n harry to puts a tune out, and usually the more more dodgy the artist the more they can often sell ala doherty, winehouse etc etc
see, my conspiracy theory quite acceptable nowseckle wrote: i'll bet this turns out to be an inside job.
