Talk about Dub on here, but don't actually mean 'Dub' they mean dubstep :s

Ask me about Dub and I instantly think about Perry, Tubby, you know... all the people that made Dub music.

I may just be the people that do not listen to (a lot of) dub themselves, I also think it depends in what context it is used. Overall I do agree with you and some people should be more clear by what they mean.

Well being that this is a DUBstep forum, it's generally understood that, unless otherwise noted, 'dub' implies dubstep. Though technically speaking you are correct, it's really irrelevant so long as everybody's on the same page.

Yeah it annoys me when people abbreviate this genre to "Dub", there two seperate genre's!

I'm at the stage in my life now that anything that has a massive sound is "Dubwise".

When my girlfriend and I use our bathroom the pipes make a horrendously massive sound for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages.......we look at each other and say "Dubwise" in a thick Jamaican accent.

We actually do that with anything that makes a beast of a noise now......

I'd LOVE to record the sound those pipes make and release it. Everyone here would go BANANAS over it!
