This is the first proper dubstep mix I have done, the culmination of a period of frantic record-buying over the last six months. After twelve years of playing techno, jungle and various other styles of pop-pupilled rave lunacy, I have recently turned my attentions to dubstep (which I have been listening to for a while without really mixing). I thought that I had escaped the trap of buying new vinyl, but I’ve recently been sucked back in by dubstep. It’s a good addiction, though … there are a lot worse hobbies to have!

This is obviously all mental wobble bassline lunacy, but I have tried to structure it in a way that it varies over the course of the mix. I have also written a long essay about the process of mixing that may (or may not!) be of interest.
