Tech Itch - Distort/One of Us
Tech Itch - Distort/One of Us
Just arrived today and it's fucking huge. You definatly can hear the d'n'b basslien influence but i really like it. I prefere the b-side (one of us) over the a-side but it's worth checking out.
Both intros are really good and the use of distortion reminds me a bit of Vex'd.
Big up!

don plate
distort is definately more my steez. nobody does it harder than tech itch in dnb, PERIOD. im very fond of his contributions.
i guess it's all about your roots, where you come from, how it reflects on what youre into now. i suppose if you listened to dnb fanatically in the past 8 years and the sound that tech itch and other put out was not what you swore by, then a plate this hard probally wont be your cup of tea either.

I used to be well into Tech Itch a few years ago, one of the few in DnB who was still making proper nasty beats but his Dubstep releases just dont cut it IMO. If some random made his tunes and didnt have a big DnB name i dont even think they would be considered release material.Hate Recordings wrote:don plate

Yes, i 'grew' up with Tech Itch and his early DNB stuff so that's why i really like his style and interpretation of dubstep. Also, i'm a big fan of Vex'd and i see some similarity inbetween them. I agree, it sounds completly different than Skream, Loefah, etc... (which i call 'classic dubstep') but isn't it about the different flavours of a style which makes it so unique?
