Is it impossible to get hold of any old DMZ records these days? I've checked my usual places but that seem pretty much sold out across the board... anyone have any secret stash they want to share?? Do they they re-cuts or is that it for ever? Many get digi releases as they seem pretty scarce also.

001 & 002 never coming out again - masters were lost. Apart from 014 which is still in shops, none of the others are in press. 010 (Blue Notez) was in press for quite a while but that's dried up now as well.


you never know though, they might repress them all, but I doubt it.

You can get 'em off discogs if you've got the $$$$$$...
As for digital, Bleep used to be the only site with DMZ and Deep Medi releases, but they got taken off a couple months ago.

I still see Blue Notes (010 i think) in shops around soho now and again.

I remember watching Mala at The Red Bull Music Academy thing and think i remember him talking about DMZ007 (Haunted/Anti War Dub) and saying that he doesnt really want to ever repress it. Could be wrong though...

Pretty much grab it while you can with DMZ releases.

I got 010 (Blue Notez / Left Leg Out) for £5.00 and 013 (Spongebob / The End) for £10.00 on EBay from the same person.

Just seeing the right deals at the right time. I saw 007 (Anti-War Dub / Haunted) go for about £30-£40 which i was fucking pissed off at because i had no money at the time and would of bought it if i could.

maybe that was me (30 quid)

its crazy how much dmz stuff increases in value. i got dmz 006 for a fiver back in march on discogs, and there were a few at that price. now its 4 times that

yeah, the prices on discogs are extortionate, although if people are gonna pay that much I'd sell at that price (except I would never sell dmzsssssssss *giggles*

You know how much of a big deal it would be if Mala etc. decided to do a big re press / sale / party / event for some anniversary?! Bigger than anything ever in the industry fo sho. They should hire out come club have a ticket only record sale event in the day and a massive DMZ rave up in the night... DMZ would be richer than astronauts if they did that!

...Since its my idea i will get a copy of every DMZ release, signed by the producer of the tune, in limited edition sleeves by famous artists and designers, then would get pick of the hight street honeys and have the badest after party with all the big names spinning beats, with as much free booze, drugs and sex as i could manage.... *WAKES UP*

thatd be an interesting idea. re-release the first 7-10 dmz's as two seperate 3-4x12" packs. give it some nice artwork or a cool hard/cardboard box.... i would love that.

Check here...it also appears a couple of other dmz are available but when you click on em it shows they will go on back order. Lame..so Im sketchy to be honest if they even have this 006.
