Hello,

Hopefully one of you can help me because this beginning to piss me off. ive checked all through the manual and iv been on their forum and there both wank, so hopefully you can help.

basically the problem is, with certain samples when i import them into cubase the daw decides to stretch it to its tempo. which is no good because it cocks the sample up.

when you look at the details for the sample it says: acid 4/4 120bpm, which im guessing has something to do with it. but for the life of me i can't figure out how to stop it doing it.

if you can help it will be much appreciated.

im using sx3

cheers

ACIDised waves have marker information embedded into the file header, so when Cubase sees that it automatically assumes you want it stretched to tempo.

You can either open the wave in SX and up the top right deselect 'musical mode', which will play it back at normal (unstretched) pitch. If you want it to stretch to fit your tempo and you know the original tempo of the file, you can enter that either there or in the pool (Ctrl P). Then it will fit to tempo.
