need some help

about a year ago i started listening to the mary anne hobbs' show and i've really started to like the dubstep and grime i am hearing. i'm also listening to the dubterrain.net radio. i was hoping someone could get me started with a list of artists to download/buy to get me a good foundation of who the key industry people are.
i've been doing some homework on wikipedia and shit but i figure someone with more knowledge can get me on the right path
