logic bus sends?

not really sure how to use bus sends in logic...anyone have a link to some info or any help? thanks

I've got logic 5.5 so hopefully this translates ok.
The send on the instrument/audio channel sends an amount of the signal to a selected bus, so that you can then effect that part of the signal separately whilst keeping your original track intact.
You can also send the outputs of any of these tracks to a bus before sending to the main output if you want to group sounds (say for instance drums) together for overall eq'ing effecting and compression, which saves a fair bit of time if you need the drums a bit louder but don't want to alter every drum sound individually.

yea i get how they work for the most part, i jus dont know how to create one and all that

click-hold on the icon of and empty instrument in the tracklist.. a menu appears that lets you change it from instrument (or whatev it is) to BUS 3 etc...
once you've created this, change the SEND (on the track you want to effect) to BUS 3 and turn to the desired amount you want to send it.
Anything you do to BUS 3 will now effect the track.
