Ginz

Post by e99 » Thu Jul 09, 2009 2:24 pm

Fans? Thoughts?

Joker is getting all the column inches but they make lots of stuff together obviously and his remix of General Midi is sick as fuck.

Who likes a bit of Ginz?

yeh basically baobinga is 30hz who is in I.D who also is a bodysnatcher, which used to be pablobeatz as a colloboration between ginz and skinnz which completes the loop to form the breaks / dusbtep / bass producers group known as 30 Ginz.

in particular 'mami', 'yeah you' and 'we here'. you can totally hear the ginz hiphop drum production from those and the dubstep stuff...

nope.

dig those old 12"s out again though, it's easy to forget how good a lot of that stuff was. and how easily some of it can sit in a current dubstep set!

indeed
was doing that a lot back in the day when dubstep releases were so rare it was impossible to make a full set of it.
So yes labels like Vertical Sound or anything by Tipper or SI Begg (or any of his other aliases), Bingo stuff were very well fitting the first dubstep / dark garage tunes

He's a very good producer. That General Midi remix is one of the tunes of the year along with purple city and re-up. I can see really big things comin from him in the next year. Purple music FTW. I still listen to the Body snatchers album regulary its fuckin gnarly and his 30hz stuff is some of my fave breaks
