ED Rosenthal?
Isnt that the guy who wrote the tome about all of the uses of hemp and cannabis?
If so I have that book somewehre in my stash of books.
Maybe when I see you next diablo i'll give to you if i can find it or if you don't have it already.

Ed is the guy that caught the case that he was fighting for ages.

Yeah. i used ot have those books as well. I think he was growing ganja for medicianl purposes and the feds busted him saying that he was growing to sell and traffic.
We have changed our laws in california to allow for the medicinal use of marijuana but the federal government still has laws against it.
So occasionally the DEA will bust some one here to make an example of them.
Since Ed was the most visible advocate politically of changing the laws in california and educateing people about growing marijuana- they busted him.

Ed got off basically because once the cone of silence was lifted on the case - the entire jury called fraud because the feds painted a picture of him as a drug dealer and none of the state allowances as a grower of medicinal herb were allowed to be discussed in court.
Once it hit the newswire the jurors went straight to the press and said they were lied to and if they had known that the state gave him license to grow they would never have pushed for conviction.
