what about vinyl allstars? i read someone saying they thought 3 the other week... i think thats absolute madness
for me its 2 - amazon, congo, truly dread, give jah the glory - FAR TOO SICK
then 1 in a close second
then 3 quite a substantial distance behind im afraid

the first tempa allstars was okay, but i was never into that garage/2 step/breaks sound. but DJ Abstract - Touch is dope beyond believe that track is sooooooo deep. tempa AS 2 is the best though. all quality tunes (except the D1 is a little wild for my liking). tempa AS 3 was pretty weak for me. rubber chicken blows my mind and the warning remix is good, but the other 2 tracks are kinda eh.
but i think dubstep allstars 3 is the best. might just be because it was the first one i really listened to in depth. mixing is good too, dubstep allstars 4 just seemed like they were crammin tracks for the hell of it.

Bought the first 2 on vinyl, but didn't really rate 3. That D1 track is my favourite off 2 though, lives up to the title. Touch is definitely dubstep on another level though, quality broken beat vibes.

i reckon Basic G by Artwork is also an incredible tune... completely out on its own in style, its as much grain as it is menta, i love it
but Touch is the one
cd wise its 1 for me, purely personal, its what got me into it, i mustve listened to it a hundred times. reminds me of a sick ski trip converting a mate also

Allstars #2 is a bit of a classic. Agree about the Kode 9/Spaceape's #3 too...didn't quite work I don't think.

#1 I probably have the fondest memories of. It went a long way to bring me into a sound I was otherwise un-sure about. Hatcha's mix on #4 is the current fave though.

tempa all stars 2. 6 absolutely killer cuts.
dubstep all stars 2. a little limited in scope, but it captured a section of what was going on really really well.

1 is just perfectly mixed (and yeah i love the 2step!)
2 is so heavy i nearly choke.
3 is amazing when i'm in the mood for spaceape.
4 feels lile the continuation of 2. 2nd disc is massive beyond belief.
Overall 1 and 4 stand out for me.
Looking forward to 5!!!

Definitely Youngsta's Dubstep Allstars 2. All well-produced killer tracks, many with a distinct and imaginative, evocative character. Each track is given enough time, and the mixing is excellent, with a great dramatic buildup over the entire mix (in this last respect perhaps surpassed by Kode9's DA3). Infinitely re-playable. Classic!
