Post your Premature tunes in here. Loops, Ideas, Sounds.

Post by thump rat » Mon Oct 30, 2006 12:02 am

Just thought it would be interesting to hear the beginning of peoples projects and how they evolve cos if your like me i've got 100's of single loops just lying about that no one will ever hear. Whether its just a drum loop or bass sound or the start of track post it in here.

Hears something i just started tonight.

nice loop, got a bit of funk to it

could do with being a bit bassier and punchier though

here's something

just started this one ...been working on it on and off for the past few days.
alittle more on the creepy vibe  - still needs lots of work though, and i wanna make the bassline less 'bubbly', more grimey

http://www.bowzer.net/dubstep_stuff/bowzer-untitled.mp3

the drums need work, i wanna make them not feel so half timed after the intro

I would do, but I'm hoping to use them. Got a nice 2-step beat, with a bit of echo and glitch working particularly nicely though - so nicely I've managed to just listen to it looping for hours on end and not get it finished
Hmm....

Interesting piece, like the atmos but perhaps its a overpower, maybe cutting a bit of the highs out as it floods the congas that come in, but the once the beat kicks in its nice, sick rhymths!

Liking the tunes Fubar.

Bit of a nobish question but how do i save an SX3 track so i can convert it to .mp3 or .wav etc? Been using Reason until a few weeks ago...

.OMF seems like the straight forward option but nothing will recognise the file type.

Hmm....

That Ramadanman clip is really good, sounds a bit progressive house to my mind (whatever progressive means these days), but it's done really well - good to hear some emotion coming through.

Changed my mind and thought I'd let you have a quick peep at some I've been working on but seem to have got stuck on. Do bear in mind that these haven't really been produced that much, I was just laying down ideas that I liked musically.

http://download.yousendit.com/E6DC7AFF47279B95 H2O (somewhere between mellow 2 step and early warp)

Bit more of a broken beat, dubster - Whine and Grine (not a cover, just a working title) http://download.yousendit.com/89C6A4A56E22E6BC

This came out a bit odd, but I like the elements - Backnforth http://download.yousendit.com/090EF5557893DE28

Oh, and here's a glitchy house (with a nod to those nitrous chicago house jacking tunes) thing I was working on http://download.yousendit.com/8015181407F7AE90

Actually been coming up with a lot more unfinished ones, these have been sitting around for months watiing for that little spark of inspiration.

I start thinking that the hunt is better than the kill with my approach to music making.
Hmm....

got home late last night and attempted some shit, sounds terrible without headphones :? and i'm not taking this one any further.

i like the claustrophobic feel of the vocals and the scary bass stab(which is too quiet) but it's total crap overall

back to the drawing board and all that
