There's no doubting that 2009 has been L-Vis 1990's year with the release of United Groove on Diplo's Mad Decent label sending the whole scene into a frenzy. His remixes for artists like Crystal Fighters, La Roux and Crazy Cousinz have also helped to solidify his reputation as a diverse and forward thinking producer. The advent of UK Funky and its merging with the sounds of grime and bashment has proved fertile ground for Sheffield's Grievous Angel. His refix of Riko's version on Ice Rink and new releases Loser and Move Down Low have been met with universal acclaim and with a forthcoming release on Blackdown's Keysound recordings you can expect to see a lot more of Grievous this year.
