Aight!

So, I've got two hours to myself on the radio this week and a bunch of goodness. First hour will be me road testing the bits and pieces of the live PA that I've been working on for a while. Your usual monolith of future garage riddim, drone, bass and fuzzy dancing bears. Maybe even a vocal.

Hour 2 will cover the nice new bits I've gotten from Phased Entity, Daega Sound, Spherix, F and others that have shown up in my lucky lap recently.

And maybe I'll play some Afghan Whigs.

Tonight!

Hours 1 and 2: Kuma (immerse Records/TKG Music/AOB)

Celebrate the fuzzy dancing bear's birthday with an exclusive two hour
set...

A veteran bass slinger of over a decade, Kuma continues to deliver sounds across the dub-based spectrum as both DJ, producer and spearhead for a new movement of sound art and soundsystem culture. Shaking ears and asses from Sapporo to San Francisco, he's been recognised internationally for his excursions into the dubstep realm and his ability to turn heads from 0 to 140 bpm.

Owner/founder of the Konspiracy Group, a music group, booking agency and p.r. hub for future music of all kinds, he's a leader in the North American bass music field, helping to pioneer the North American dubstep scene alongside the Smog and Dubwar organizations.

He's also got records out on Bristol's legendary Immerse records and stuff forthcoming on Creative Space and his own TKG Music imprint.

A former host and producer with CBC Radio and bass music champion for the Art Of Beatz, Vancouver's home for electronic music on the radio, he's got one hand on the pulse, the other on on a red stripe and one fo ot on that very large bassbin over there.

Hour one will see him road testing the bits and pieces of the live PA that he's been been working on for a while. Your usual monolith of future garage riddims, drone, bass and fuzzy dancing bears. Maybe even a vocal. or two.

Hour 2 will be the DJ set with fresh beats from Phased Entity, Daega Sound, Spherix, F and others.

BASS.

Seriously.

YES YES!!!!!

Will be locked!!! :D

Btw,Kuma. How did you know that Afghan Whigs is one of my favourite bands??? That's kinda spooky actually... I've seen 'em a bunch of times. Thier cover of the Supremes' "My World Is Empty" is intense!! And I still think "Up In It" was highly underrated. The guitar work alone was just incredible!

Of course! Podcast to come and I tried to record a chunk independently so we'll see how it came out this weekend.
