how do you program those tom breakdown rolls like you hear in hiphop tunes and what not???? i've tried multiple tom samples with varying velocitys but i really cant do it, anyone know where i can get some rex loops of that shit???????

dig some crates and sample old vinyl.

sample or record a tom roll. or use some good quality velocity multisamples and dont hard quantize.

Addictive Drums is fucking godly at toms....

some of those are recorded live. Just Blaze is a monster on the kit + he's been doing alot of this type of stuff over the last few years, a few other guys too
